Posting Again!

Hey guys, real sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've just haven't had the time. today I really want to show you a pic I took a while back, I was in a hotel lobby and there was these birds, surprisingly the turned out to be penguins! The waddled around acting cute, but there was this one penguin who seemed to be left out. He was almost totally bald. and he seemed like he was pecking more of his feathers out. It was a perfect muse for a photo, and luckily I had my camera with me. It just goes to show you, sometime different things make the prettiest art.
hope you still like my blog,
L.E
p.s a little project you can try is to bring a camera everywhere you go, even if it's just a cellphone, and take pictures of lots of different things.

Some/ One

Hey guys sorry I haven't posted in a while. Today I have a sculpture that will blow your mind! It's amazing! This was made in 2001 by a Korean artist named Do-Ho Sun. What makes this sculpture amazing is that it's made out of 40,000 military dog tags. But these aren't ordinary dog tags, these dog tags have fake names and words on them, not like the ones that they use in the military. I love this sculpture and I love the effort that people put into what they love to do. I'm so happy! It's finally summer where I am! That means, no school!

hope you like my blog,
L.E
p.s you can make art like you've seen on my blog just find some recycled items and glue, string, or tape and put them together.

But as you know this is art where, your imagination can run wild! On another note me and my friend went shopping the other day and found this store with really cute clothes for a awesome price! And even though I know that this isn't a fashion segment heres the web adress... http://www.loveculture.com/ . I LOVE their clothes!

Caterpillar Suit :0

Hello readers of this blog! I have been thinking lately and I really thought about what it would be like if there would be no wars. I mean everyone thinks about that in their life but, why do we have to kill each other to prove something? Can't we just find some other way to solve our differences. These are lives we are losing to just Prove a point. Come on people we are humans, and we can surely find another way to solve our differences. Alright time for todays sculpture! Today I'm showing you another piece of art from the SAM museum, this is called caterpillar suit, these are caterpillar suits I and III. These cool sculptures are made entirely out of barbed wire, by a Canadian named Walter Oltmann. it took him from 2007 to 2008 to make these works of art. I personally love these sculptures!!! Hope you do too!

MORE STATUES!

Hello Viewers! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, but here I am sitting at my computer typing up another post! OK yesterday I went to the SAM museum of art and took some pictures of a lot of things that were very modern and cool, but this statue I'm showing you today is my favorite statue of all time! It's called Le Sumeur/ Sunlight and Flies. this amazing sculpture is made completely out of glass bottles, silicone, and rubber corks, along with that the piece that makes up the face is a mirror. I am very interested in things that are made up of everyday materials. It makes me think that if we try and keep to it we can make some of this modern art. It think that this sculpture made by Jerry Pethick really captures that.

venus de milo

Do you know Greek gods? Roman gods? Egyptian gods? If you don't just look them up online because today I am showing you the world famous statue of Venus de Milo. Venus is a Roman god but you might know her as a Planet. This statue was created in 100-130 B.C.E, and stood the test of time, all but the arms. The Venus de Milo was an ancient Greek statue that should have been name Aphrodite de Milo. I think that this statue is one of the best Praxiteles statues, and is timeless.

bright and beautiful

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple days, but 1. I've been lazy. And 2. I've got some big school assignments coming up. From the title you could probably guess that today is all about bright and beautiful clothes. Wearing different kinds of clothes defines what you think about yourself and how you want the world to think of you. I got these photos from www.nordstrom.com. the shirt is Frenchi® Silky Sleeveless Tunic (Juniors) for $32. And the pants are Jolt Skinny Jeans (Medium Light Wash) (Juniors) for $34 these jeans highlight the color used in the outfit. lastly the shoes are BP. 'Bowtye' Sandal for $49.95, the little red cherries match the top of the outfit. I encourage adding a necklace, purse, bracelet, or sunglasses to this outfit.

Flowers, and Spring

Flower patterns on things like skirts and shoes, with a worn vintage look is one of my favorite types of clothing. heres an outfit that I put together using images from www.nordstrom.com. The shoe is a natural colored Steve Madden 'Trouser' Laceless Oxford, that costs $69.95 on www.nordstrom.com. The skirt is a Mimi Chica Print Tiered (Junior), costing $24.00 on www.nordstrom.com. Add an accessory if you'd like, but keep it simple like a long necklace. And for the top I would recommend a simple light colored T-shirt or tank top.

plain but pretty

Plain is sometimes the best choice for clothing. Like a plain shirt paired with a necklace or bracelets maybe a cute pair of boots. Colors that look good with accessories are pastel colors and some dark colors, like black and navy blue. Heres a pic of plain but pretty clothes. (the picture above shows a navy blue shirt with plain skinny jeans and low, button, ugg boots).

p.s boots with some sort of pattern or button works best with the plain but pretty thing.

Nature

Trees, flowers, and plants grow all around us. We notice them everyday, or do we? Think about it. Do we spend time to look at a bush, or a flower? By now they seen to be just there. But plants and trees are the things that make our life great.
hope you like my blog,

p.s if your taking a picture of a tree, you should take the top part where all the leaves and buds are.

Portraits

Portraits are used a lot in everyday life. They are used to preserve time, they are used to look back on and marvel at what they used to look like, portraits are art. They express who we were and who we are. Above is a portrait of my friends.

living things

Okay so here's one of my favorite types of photography, ANIMALS! Animal photography is cute, funny, random, and wonderful. Some animals (like my dog posted above), can pose for the camera, in my opinion it's the cutest thing ever!
Hope you like my blog!
~L.E
p.s a good way to get a dog to pose is to have them sit and stay or lie down, another way is to call their name or say something like, good dog! or puppy puppy puppy!

Everyday

Everyday things are important, they shape our way of life. The simplest things in life are sometimes the most important. In art the simplest things make the best pictures, for example on shows or cartoons, when someone is painting they usually paint a fruit bowl, simple things like that make the best pictures for example the picture above is of a simple pen, ipod cord, and scissors, simple yet priceless.
hope you have a great week
~L.E
p.s a tip about taking pictures is have natural lighting (if you can), and leave the flash off (if you have good lighting.)

Rainbow

Hey I'm LE. LE is actually a shorter way of saying my name, and if you say the letter's names together they pronounce my REAL name. Okay so today it was raining, which is normal where I live, but after the rain stopped, there was a RAINBOW! I was in the perfect place to see it so I took some pictures.
